In this pre-recorded 90 minute workshop, Louise will review the place of teaching phonics in a literacy programme and share practical activities for teaching early phonics skills.

Workshop outline:

Revisiting key points from workshop 1
Developing phonological awareness
Introducing the letters and sounds
Hearing and identifying initial, medial and final sounds
Hearing and identifying initial and final clusters
Reading and writing one-syllable words with clusters and short vowels
