Moment in time’ planning sheet
‘A moment in time’ encourages students to add detail to their writing using the senses. It is a scaffolded task that supports ‘at risk’ writers but also extends more able students.

When teaching students to plan, remember to model how to take notes and then how to use the notes to support writing.
