This Wonder or word wall is a writeable version of either D17 or D18 from the downloadable resources in The Writing Book.
It can be laminated and used in a number of different ways.

Students could use whiteboard markers to:

• write predictions or wonderings before reading a text.
• record tricky words as they read
• generate ideas for writing

or the teacher could record tricky words for students to investigate before they read a text.
