Catch up on your spelling in 90 minutes

This workshop is designed for teachers and teacher aides who have not had training in spelling. It builds on the phonics workshop.

The workshop will cover:

Subject knowledge related to the alphabetic code, including spelling conventions and morphology
The skills students need to learn, based on the spelling requirements in the New Zealand and Australian curricula
Engaging and effective activities for explicitly teaching spelling skills to groups and the whole class

Delegates will receive free resources to support planning and teaching, including word lists and activity materials.
