Early bird available until 22 December

In this on-line workshop, Sheena will share a range of purposeful junior independent reading activities that support young students to practise reading and early literacy skills. She will present practical ideas for organising and managing the activities, so teachers are able to teach reading groups while students work independently. The workshop will have a particular emphasis on how to introduce and teach the activities at the beginning of the year.

The workshop will cover:

  • big ideas
  • different kinds of activities
  • introducing and teaching the activities
  • organising and managing activities
  • a look at some purposeful activities.

More information and a code to join this workshop will be emailed to attendees closer to the time.
