A student’s vocabulary knowledge affects their ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken contexts and plays a crucial role in academic success across all areas of the curriculum. This workshop will briefly outline research that impacts vocabulary learning in the classroom, review the components of a comprehensive vocabulary programme at a senior level, and share practical ideas for teaching individual words.
