Pizza book publishing

Publishing provides an opportunity for students to practise visual literacy skills, such as handwriting and presentation. Refer to page 209 of The Writing Book for the Pizza book publishing idea.

A big thank you to Emma Fawcett and her Grade 5 class at Rolling Hills Primary, Melbourne for sharing their pizza books with us.

Emma says: 'The publishing process really helped the kids to think more about colour, theme, presentation, questions as subheadings, and the balance of images and text. Some even included glossaries too!'
