Reading and writing CVC words
Resources:
Students work in small groups to move around the board. When they land on a word, they either read or write. If they are correct, they stay on the word. If they make a mistake, they go back to their last place.
Spelling activities
Students can play any phonics and spelling activities they have been taught.
Dice activities to practise reading and writing CVC words
All you need for these activities is the board, dice, counters, and whiteboards if they are writing the words.
Spelling activities for older students
We have two morphology activities on our website for older students, which can be used for whole-class spelling lessons and as independent activities.
