In our oral language workshop, we talk about using a 'talking prop' to indicate it is a student's turn to speak. A microphone is a great resource, but they are hard to find.
Robyn English, who is the principal at Rolling Hills Primary School in Melbourne, shared this bright idea for making your own. Robyn says, 'I made one by using a clingwrap roll covered in paper with a polystyrene craft ball glued to the top. I then speckled the top with a gold pen. The kids love using it.'
