The Venn Diagram
An important reading skill for fluent readers is comparing aspects of texts (characters, settings, texts).
The Venn diagram is an excellent graphic organiser to support students to develop comparison skills.
Younger students can draw pictures to identify similarities and differences.
We recommend that you model all graphic organisers during whole-class shared reading so students learn how to use them effectively.
