Here are some great video clips that can be used as part of the Stop the movie/finish it Quick Write activity (page 128 of The Writing Book).

For example, stop the:

'For the birds' video clip before the end and get the students to write their ending. There are other lesson ideas for this video clip on The Literacy Shed website.
'An animated story of a boy who hates his disabled dog' video at midpoint and get the students to write what they think will happen next.
